Two Glorious Days in New Orleans

Two Days in New Orleans

Hands down, New Orleans is my favourite city in America.  The architecture, the food, the shopping, THE MUSIC- all of it amounts to one magical place.  Here are a few captions from my couple of days in this great city during a tour of America I had with my boyfriend and my mother.  This was the first time my mother had been back to the states to see family in 7 years! Tim came along so that he could meet everyone on my side of the family (now that is a sign of a committed relationship!)  While I don’t actually have any family in New Orleans, we just couldn’t bring Tim to meet all my family in the South without taking him here.  Outside of Cafe du Monde, Bourbon Street and adventuring on a ghost tour to hear some of the haunted history of New Orleans, we also went to Preservation Hall to hear the best Jazz in the whole city. You can’t take pictures inside, as it can be distracting to the players, but know that you can never have a REAL visit to New Orleans without queueing outside the hall for half an hour to hear the musicians of Preservation Hall play (truly. life changing.)
